We have a tentative date for the State Meet (April 13-15)! Mark it down on your calendars!!!!!
Has everyone noticed the new posters on the glass at Milford? We are getting ready for Nationals in Indy in May and are counting down the weeks. If you are going, bring in a small (4”x4”) photo and tape it to the board! Also, we have placed star stickers on the ledge near the posters. If you have made a cut for the meet please place a star on the board but remember you DO NOT have to make a time cut to swim in the meet. If you do not make a time cut you can still register for the meet and swim 3 events!
Upcoming Events:
November 12 South Lyon East High School
December 16 MAC Christmas Party
April 13-15 Masters State Meet (tentative)
May 10-13, 2018 Masters Short Course Spring Nationals Indianapolis, IN
State Meet: Wager Alert!!!!! We are prepared to make a little wager over the meet in order to raise money for our own Jim Young Fund. We will provide a jar and will be able to pick the coaches events for the State Meet. Stakes: $5=1 pick, $20=5 picks. Rules: You will write one coaches name and one event on a sheet of paper and place it in a jar. At the opening of State Meet registration the events with the most votes will dictate the coaches entries. Have fun!
From the Coaches:
Kris: Mon: Turn work!
Wednesday: A fun relay workout! We will practice relay transitions while getting in a workout as well.
Maria: A portion of Saturday workouts is dedicated to working starts and turns, as well as other racing skills. Turns are improving in those that have been coming, and the focus of everyone is amazing!
Dianne: Continuing breaststroke this week with the kick and introduction of the pull. Looking forward to another great Friday practice as well with strength and fast pace swimming!
Communication: If you have questions for any of the coaches don’t hesitate to ask! Here’s a quick list of emails to make that a bit easier!
