Pool News: 

1. MAC practice at The Sports Club of Novi, has been going strong – but not selling out. We are renting pool space/time – so if you’re interested in swimming, don’t hesitate to sign up!  Details below.  
2. We are on-track with starting our regular MAC season at the Milford Pool – starting October 1st.  Watch for future emails once we have the green light from HVPF.
3. We are putting together the final details, for the new MAC memberships, and hoping to wrap up soon. Watch for future emails, and you soon will be able to sign up!

MAC Labor Day Games – 2020 

Thanks to Coach Maria, for putting together another fantastic Labor Day Games – 2020.  Each year Coach Maria has chosen a theme and all the events are tied into that choice. This year’s theme was Survival! Great fun was had by all.  Some events and highlights were the obstacle course, the tug-of-war competition and the ever popular trivia contest. The Blue Team was the overall prize winner. Congratulations to Matt Wuchte, Hong Weng, Libby Silverson, and Ann Ward! Also congratulations to Libby Silverson who scored the most points on the day and won the grand prize! 

BIG THANK YOU… to Tom Welsh

The final Big swim of the summer was last Saturday.  The water temp was 70° – just warm enough for a swim. As usual Tom provided a catered Mexican lunch and hospitality – including a warm bonfire. The three BIG swims this summer were a great thing for our team, especially during these times.  We can’t thank Tom enough for hosting this awesome event.

Waivers: Before your first practice you will need to complete TWO Waviers so we have them on file. The MAC team waiver will be completed and filed online. The Sports Club waiver should be printed out and given to the on-deck coach prior to you first practice in Novi.

Printed copies of BOTH waivers will be available on deck before your first practice at the club.

The Sports Club has been generous to offer their pool for our practices. Please remember that you are a guest and respect the facility at all times.

Sign-Up:  Due to COVID we will be limited to only 18 swimmers per practice. Slots will be available two days before practice via the MAC website – on a first come, first served basis. Each practice will cost $10. You must be registered for USMS in order to participate. To register with USMS, please visit: www.usms.org.  Club: MICH, Workout Group:  MAC

Cancellation Policy: Because of the costs associated with pool rental, you will be charged for practice if you do not show up. If you sign up for a spot and cannot make it, please cancel before 8am so other teammates will have a chance to sign up. Facility Rules: Please enter the pool facility through the snack shop gate by the front entrance. You will exit the pool at the far end of the deck when leaving. Showers and locker rooms are not available but restrooms are available if needed. Masks are required when entering the building to use the restroom. There is no equipment available for our use so bring your equipment bags with your toys – including kickboards
