MAC Labor Day Games – 2020

BBQ After (10:30 till whenever):   Bring whatever meat you want to grill and a dish to pass!  We’ll hang out a bit after, eat, relax and enjoy the weather!

Saturday September 12th, 2020

Tom Welsh has once again graciously offered to host the LAST Big Swim of the summer on Saturday September 12th!  MAC swimmers, guests, and non-swimmers are welcome. Tom will host MAC at his home on Long Lake in Hartland (just 20 minutes from Milford). The lake is approximately 2.5 miles around.  Swimmers can choose any distance they want to swim.  There will be a couple kayaks and a pontoon boat to support the swimmers.  We try to hit the water by 10:00 and then lunch at noon. Food and drinks will be provided and all the swimming you could ask for, especially now!  A small donation can be made to the MAC (ALL proceeds going to the MAC Team fund).  Please RSVP to: twelsh217@gmail.com The address is: 1411 Shady Crest, Hartland, MI.  Don’t miss this great event!

The Sports Club of Novi

Sign-Up:  Due to COVID we will be limited to only 18 swimmers per practice. Slots will be available two days before practice via the MAC website – on a first come, first served basis. Each practice will cost $10. You must be registered for USMS in order to participate. To register with USMS, please visit: www.usms.org.  Club: MICH, Workout Group:  MAC

Cancellation Policy: Because of the costs associated with pool rental, you will be charged for practice if you do not show up. If you sign up for a spot and cannot make it, please cancel before 8am so other teammates will have a chance to sign up. Any cancellations after 8am will also incur a $10 charge.  To cancel, send an email request to coach Jim at:  jimjtg@icloud.com

Facility Rules: Please enter the pool facility through the snack shop gate by the front entrance. You will exit the pool at the far end of the deck when leaving. Showers and locker rooms are not available but restrooms are available if needed. Masks are required when entering the building to use the restroom. There is no equipment available for our use so bring your equipment bags with your toys – including kickboards

Waivers: You must sign a liability waiver from The Sports Club as well as our new MAC waiver and Medical Information form. Please complete and submit the wavier before your first practice. – CLICK HERE

Time Change:
Practice will now be held on Friday mornings from 9-10:30am.

Sign-Up:  Due to COVID we will only be limited to 12 swimmers per practice. Swimmers will sign up via Sign-Up Genius on a first come, first serve basis. Sign-up is on the honor system, please make sure to cancel if you not able to make a practice in order to allow another swimmer to claim the spot.  Click Here to Sign Up.

Reminder:
When you are attending practice please make sure that you are using the parking lot on the east side of the pool, the parking located directly in front of the pool is for club members only. Also, Walnut Creek requires coverups in the parking lot and areas outside of the pool. Please make sure to bring a cover-up to wear over your suit when entering and exiting the pool. Thank you!
