State Meet: The wagering has started, let’s have fun and raise money for our own Jim Young Fund.
- 1 ticket = $5, 5 Tickets = $20
- Choose a coach (each coach will have a different ticket color).
- Write the State Meet event that you want that coach to swim and your name.
- Event with the most votes will win!
- In case of a tie, we will have a tiebreaker raffle ($1/ticket, winner decides between the tied events).
This event will start at the Christmas Party on Dec. 16 and run until the Milford Meltdown. Results will be announced after the Milford Meltdown.
From the Coaches:
Maria: 1) congrats to all who swam the New Year challenge. There were many personal achievements (like longest # yards in a practice) for everyone, and it was amazing! Hopefully we see more people next year and more that complete the 100×100.
2) you can still buy voting tickets for the Jim Young Gun Fund fundraiser, to vote on which events us coaches must swim at States. Bring your money to the pool and the coaches can get you the voting tickets.
3) on saturdays, we will be working in the principles and drills from the holiday turn and starts clinics into the workouts. Come perfect what you learned or come and get some training on turns and starts!
Happy New Year to All. I wish you many blessings and victories in 2018.
Dianne: We’re looking to add some backstroke into the Thursday workout this week. Friday we will continue to train as we race with a great workout!
On a Personal Note: Thanks to all who came out last week to the clinics! Thanks to Kris for running the flipturn portion of the clinics. I was awesome to see so many improvements during the clinics we were able to break it down and correct the little things that will make all the difference when race time comes around! Thanks everyone! Remember it’s the little things that matter and will make all the difference! Practice how you want to race!
Communication: If you have questions for any of the coaches don’t hesitate to ask! Here’s a quick list of emails to make that a bit easier!
