From the Coaches:

Kris: Mon: come join us for the last distance workout of the year – it’s sure to be a good one!

Wed: 12 days of Christmas for fun and to review what we have worked on so far this year!

Dianne: Tuesday and Thursday morning practices will focus primarily on backstroke. Friday we will also prepare for the holiday season with a Christmas Workout!

On a Personal Note: I would like to thank everyone for being flexible this week and coming out to Lakeland for the week’s workouts. I’d also like to say a big thank you to Coach Jim Izzi for pulling double duty this week as both a coach and a guard!

Thank you to the coaches for their help this week to celebrate the holiday season! All the coaches were out on Saturday morning to contribute to our relay practice and support/cheer for the swimmers in the sometimes crazy/sometimes serious events that were planned. Thank you Kris, Jim, Maria, and Melissa!

Thank you Kris for opening up your home for the MAC Christmas party on Saturday night. The decorations, food, beverages, and company were fantastic. Thank you to you and your family!

Now for a couple of updates on the relay events! Andy Kennedy, your kickboard stacking record is once again safe at 18. We had some valiant efforts and the red team came close with 13. We also are looking forward to adding more spins to the now legendary eggnog relay. The coaches agreed that this year’s teams were not nearly dizzy enough heading back into the water:) Finally, Congrats to the red team for winning the day!

Last but not least, Congratulations to Carol Schmanske for achieving her 2017 swimming goal of 1200 miles swam. Carol is currently at 1201.5miles. Truly a member of #BAN!
