MAC to Mesa

Starting January 1st, 2019, during the winter swim season, MAC set a team goal to “swim” together, the total distance across the country, approximately 1,985 miles, to the USMS Spring Nationals in Mesa, Arizona.  After each MAC practice, the coach recorded each swimmers distance swam, rounded to the nearest ¼ mile. Then totaling everyones distance for the week, and recorded it on the banner on the pool deck.  We kept adding the total distance each week, “swimming” across the country until we swam to Mesa.  We had 16 weeks to swim the distance, from the week of January 7^th-April 25^th, and on the last week, April 25th.. WE MADE IT!! – just before USMS Spring Nationals.
