From the Coaches:
Jim: Special THANK YOU to the Mac Team, for all the help and support at the meet.
Kris: Monday: After watching your stroke errors for 1000 YARDS!!! we will be working on some stroke technique and TURN WORK!!! for the next several weeks.
Wednesday: Fly work and open turns. Wednesday group don’t forget to bring quarters for the quarter jar! For all stroke infractions you owe the quarter jar a quarter – it already has quite the collection for our breakfast at the end of the year!
Great swimming yesterday! It was nice to see everyone at the beginning of the year and have some thoughts of what we need to work on in practice.
Dianne: Tuesday is Halloween! What spooktacular things could we be doing in the pool?!? Come and find out. In other news, we will continue to work on breaststroke this week while keeping the technique up with freestyle and butterfly!
On a Personal Note: Our own MAC swimmer, Rita Gelman, had a fantastic article published about her and her accomplishments in the pool. Rita embodies all the MAC is about and it is a joy to be able to coach her in the water. Here is the link to the article: http://healthblog.uofmhealth.org/heart-health/swimming-for-gold-at-age-85-despite-heart-disease
