From the Coaches:
Kris: Tuesday Distance group will be working on pacing as we head towards State Meet. We’re going to have some fun with this!
Thursday Drill: One of my favorite quotes is that practice is 90% physical and 10% mental but meets are 90% mental and 10% physical. As we head towards State Meet we have been working on our racing and meet preparation and we’ll continue to do so this week. First, we practice something, then we do it again and again, then think about how it would apply to our race in a meet and work on improving it. Come join us to tweak some things in your favorite races!
Dianne: Our last week of event training will be the 200IM.
On a Personal Note: The MAC meet was fantastic and I need to thank all the volunteers, officials, coaches, and competitors who attended the meet this weekend. A huge Thank You to Coach Kris our meet director who also acted as announcer and timer, Coach Jim our computer operator, Coach Melissa for heading registration, check-in, and announcing, and Coach Maria for announcing. Thank you all, this meet would not have run so smooth or been so successful without your invaluable help and the help of all of our MAC teammates that volunteered, brought food, swam and cheered this weekend. Congratulations goes out to: Denise Costanzo, Diane Brady, Karen Deighton, Marilyn Reichenbach, Kitty VandenBrulle, Rita Gelman, Ann Hunt, Laura Gogola, Mike Smith (who completed his check-off challenge at this meet), George Sveda, Brice Chase, Bill Caldwell, Donald Kroeger, Paul Chadwick, Patrick Sturdy, Janette Heaton, Brandon Marriott, Jason Mallory, Peggy Bruin, Martha Amis, Coleman Teach, John Cassidy, James Deren, Maria Veen, Chuck Olsen, Jacqueline Thorpe, Dana McCorkle, Bill Porter, and Jim Izzi!
