Pool News: 

This week we received good news – indoor pools in Michigan can re-open on September 9th.  That being said; Huron Valley Pools & Fitness (HVPF) will need a couple weeks to re-staff and get their pool and facilities ready to open.  As scheduled, MAC will swim the month of September at the Sports Club of Novi. Ideally we will be back at Milford the first of October and are expecting to run our typical winter schedule of 8 practices per week. Also beginning October 1st, we will be using the new MAC, LLC memberships.  If you have MAC Visits leftover from HVPF from before the shutdown, please visit the front desk after they re-open. HVPF is trying to figure out some sort of compensation for swimmers with remaining punches on their old cards. We are not sure that this will happen, but we are hopeful.
Please watch for future emails with more information about the new MAC memberships, and MAC swimming back at the Milford Pool, once we have the green light from HVPF.

MAC Labor Day Games – 2020

Saturday September 12th, 2020

Tom Welsh has once again graciously offered to host the LAST Big Swim of the summer on Saturday September 12th!  MAC swimmers, guests, and non-swimmers are welcome. Tom will host MAC at his home on Long Lake in Hartland (just 20 minutes from Milford). The lake is approximately 2.5 miles around.  Swimmers can choose any distance they want to swim.  There will be a couple kayaks and a pontoon boat to support the swimmers.  We try to hit the water by 10:00 and then lunch at noon. Food and drinks will be provided and all the swimming you could ask for, especially now!  A small donation can be made to the MAC (ALL proceeds going to the MAC Team fund).  Please RSVP to: twelsh217@gmail.com The address is: 1411 Shady Crest, Hartland, MI.  Don’t miss this great event!

The Sports Club of Novi

Sign-Up:  Due to COVID we will be limited to only 18 swimmers per practice. Slots will be available two days before practice via the MAC website – on a first come, first served basis. Cancellation Policy: Because of the costs associated with pool rental, you will be charged for practice if you do not show up. If you sign up for a spot and cannot make it, please cancel before 8am so other teammates will have a chance to sign up. Facility Rules: Please enter the pool facility through the snack shop gate by the front entrance. You will exit the pool at the far end of the deck when leaving. Showers and locker rooms are not available but restrooms are available if needed. Masks are required when entering the building to use the restroom. There is no equipment available for our use so bring your equipment bags with your toys – including kickboards

Waivers: You must sign a liability waiver from The Sports Club as well as our new MAC waiver and Medical Information form. Please complete and submit the wavier before your first practice. – CLICK HERE
