I realize that there has been an issue with our weekly email delivery. We believe that the issue has been fixed. A BIG thanks to Coach Jim for working to resolve the problem! Thank you Jim! Please let us know in the future if you don’t receive your weekly email, we want to keep everyone in the know!

MAC Lite will be added to our current schedule on Monday nights from 7-7:45pm and on Friday mornings from 8:45-9:30am. MAC Lite will work on the stroke mechanics of all four competitive strokes and aim to slowly integrate swimmers into the 1-1/2 hour MAC practices.

Our MAC to Mesa challenge is off to a fantastic start! At the end of our first week MAC has logged 191.5 miles and we have reached Bridgeman, MI! Please continue to record your mileage for each practice with the coach on deck. Coaches will total each person’s mileage for the week and log the results on our banner.

Anyone registering for the summer’s Tri Goddess events, Coach Maria has entered a team for the event. Be sure to sign up for the MAC Goddesses PW Statechamps team when registering!

For all of our evening swimmers Huron Valley Pools and Rec is now offering a Kids Club in the evenings from 5-8pm Monday-Thursday. The Club is for kids in K-5th grade and will offer swimming, a dry place for homework, and/or other activities. See the attached flyer.

Event Details/Results:

MAC to Mesa: Our goal will be to swim approximately 1,985 miles, together, as a team. Each week, after practice, swimmers will record your total distance for the workout rounded to the nearest ¼ mile. We will have 16 weeks to swim that distance, from the week of January 7th-April 25th!

State Meet: MAC is hosting State Meet 2019 on April 12-14 at Waterford Mott High School.

From the Coaches:

Kris: Thursday’s workout we will be focusing on balance in the water and how it affects your stroke. We will start with freestyle, work our way to backstroke, and go from there!
Also, we had 5 people for our first MAC Lite on Monday night! If you know someone that is interested in learning more about our team but is nervous to try our full practice this is a great option for them.

Jim:

Melissa:

Maria:

Dianne: This week we are working on racing the 200 BK, sets will be centered around this event.
